Amelia has been getting quite the education about animals. In the past 2 weeks she has been to the local pet store, the zoo and then a petting zoo at the local pumpkin farm festival. She is definitely an animal lover!
First stop was the local pet store last weekend. She got to see puppies, kittens, fish, rabbits and ferrets as well as some birds. Many of the cages were on eye level for her. She really enjoyed walking around and looking through all the aquarium type cages.
We also went to the zoo last weekend. She was so excited at some exhibits she was sqealing and running around. We got to see the new baby gorilla that was recently born, as well as lots of other not so common zoo animals. She called most of the animals....."doggie"!
We took a break to stop at the playground. Unfortunately Amelia was a little too small to play on most of it. She did enjoy riding down a small slide numerous times having us catch her. Here she is admiring one of the Fisher Price not so Little People
The following weekend we went to the pumpkin festival. I cant wait until Amelia is a little older to really enjoy this. They had a corn and hay maze, a bounce house, duck races, face painting, a petting zoo and much more. Amelia got to feed the goats and the sheep and giggled while they were eating out of her hand.
And of course as the name implies there were lots of pumpkins. She helped pick a few out for carving next month.
