Third Times A Charm

We finally got to go on our Carribbean vacation and enjoy some nice weather! I must say I think it was more appreciated than ever in January. If you want to go away and worry about nothing, all-inclusive is sure a nice way to go.

We actually had 2 vacations in one. First we went to Florida to visit Grandma Barb and Uppa Tom at their home away from home for the next 3 months. Boy are they going to have a great 3 months. They have a condo right on the beach!

The view from the patio of the condo

Amelia took to the beach like she has taken to dancing. She had lots of fun jumping over the waves, climbing her sand mountain, and making a slide in said sand mountain.

No walking on the beach for Amelia...it was running only
Playing in the water with Grandma and Uppa
After a few days in Florida Mark and I set our for our long-awaited vacation in the Bahamas. We stayed at the Sandals resort here. They really do treat you like family here and leave you wanting for nothing.  They left special towels on our bed every day for us.

They actually remembered us from May and upgraded our room. We had some fantastic views:

We got to dress up and go to relaxing dinners and lounge around in the sun.

In addition to the beautiful resort we had an entire island that we could go to as well to spend time in the sun and sand. Just a 5 minute boat ride away.

Beach on the back side of the island, we did some snorkeling here and saw a turtle

Beach on the front side of the island

Swim-up bar at the island
Perhaps the best part of going to the Bahamas was coming home. Amelia was at the airport with Grandma and Uppa to greet us. And boy did she greet us. She screamed mama and dada and came running full speed at us with the biggest grin I have ever seen. We brought her back a rose since this is what all prima ballerinas get after their performances!!

While we were relaxing in the Bahamas, Amelia was giving Grandma and Uppa a workout. They went to a couple parks as well as the beach. They danced and sang and I'm sure they ran around too.

Dancing on the beach...or perhaps practicing karate
Amelia had everyone try on her hat, she even wore it for a few minutes. Then she requested that Mark be sad.......
What a Father will do for his daughter!
Laughing at daddy with Grandma
Note how close the condo is to the beach just to the right behind Amelia. It was really hard to come back to Buffalo!!!!

We also made a return trip to the zoo since Amelia had so much fun there last year. She fed the giraffes again and her deer.

Waiting for the Giraffes to come over for their crackers.
Having a great time feeding the giraffe
We spent our last day on the beach. Amelia had a great time running back and forth from the chairs to the water while we all counted 1,2,3 GO! She must have done this 10 times at least. I think she just enjoyed telling us all what to do...perhaps a future CEO???? She sure does love to give orders
I believe she is giving one in this photo....

Snack and Snuggle time
See you next year Florida!!
Intently watching her videos with her new headphones, such a good traveler!!
