Another One Bites The Dust

Mark and I are home from yet another attempted vacation. We have actually been home since Monday, 4 days earlier than anticipated. With our impecable timing and good luck we managed to book our vacation the one week it rained in the Bahamas. And we are not talking about some scattered showers...it was literally a monsoon. We actually did not even take one picture.....ahhh so much for having some variety on this blog.

Since we already had a day off we all decided to go the Strong Childrens Museum in Rochester. Amelia had so much fun, it was totally worth being home for. She was nonstop running the whole time there.

Arriving at the museum with Ama and Uppa
The first thing to check out was a giant aquarium with lots of tropical fish.

Next we set off to Sesame Street to see Elmo and Abby, Amelia's two favorite characters.

Anyone recognize these steps?
After running around around for awhile she took a short break to challenge Mark to a game of chess.

The museum has a kid's Wegmans to shop in. There are kids grocery carts and all sorts of empty containers of food for the kids to put in their cart. There is even a checkout line where you can scan your items and print a receipt.  I think this was Amelia's favorite part. She made so many trips back and forth.

First we hit the produce section..pretty impressive huh?

I'm pretty sure the rest of the grapefruit are in her cart..

She had so  much fun at the checkout, everytime she emptied the cart she ran back to get more items to put on the belt.

The weekend brought us nicer weather than the Bahamas did, go figure! We went over to the local ice cream shop where Amelia had her first official ice cream cone. We got her a junior twist. Then she had a taste of Mark's ice cream with sprinkles and somehow she conned him into giving her the regular cone instead.

This is going to be messy....

After ice cream we went for a walk on the bike path. Last year we saw a cow giving birth believe it or not. This year we saw a whole family of geese making their way across the path to the pond.

We counted 17 baby geese!!!
