Hikin'

Amelia has really been excited to walk around in the woods at the local middle school when we bring the dogs out to play. She says shes hiking:) Ahhh that's my girl! So this weekend we decided to go the big woods for some real trails. All she talked about in the car was her hiking shoes aka her running sneakers. Once there, however, she took maybe 20 steps on her own before she begged I hold you Mamma. This is what she says when she wants me to hold her. How cute!
Thankfully we brought our little Amelia backpack....I dont think my elbow would have lasted. She loved it and kept saying "I'm in the backpack". This was an easy sell since the map in Dora rides in her backpack. Sometimes these tv shows really come in handy.

Although she didn't officially do much hiking, she loved being in the woods with us so we were thrilled. It made for a great workout for Mark and I, especially once we started running up and down the hills to keep her entertained.
